Rama responds to accusations over the Kanye West concert: 50 million euros? A fabrication with a scorpion’s tail, created to poison

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted with a video on Facebook after the heated debate in recent days over the Kanye West concert and the protests that have continued for more than a month.

He rejected claims that the state financed the event with 50 million euros, calling them “slander.” According to him, the government provided only 4 million euros, with the aim of preventing the concert from being canceled.

In his message, Rama also addressed his political opponents, whom he accused of disinformation and of manipulating public opinion.

The failures with broken hearts, who have joined forces to turn their thirst for power and glory into mush, have also descended on Kanye West’s special concert, tainting the pure course of the flamingo protest.

Former officials who left important posts full of anger and without any glory; losers who went into elections like seagulls and came out of them like cormorants; all kinds of disappointed talk-show figures, re-disappointed Democrats, networked arch-Marxists, TikTok-ified Islamists, and inspired lawbreakers have become a black chorus of protest and do not stop polluting social channels with slander, fabrications, manipulations, nonstop insults, hatred that feeds hatred and blindness that feeds blindness, against anyone they see as an obstacle to everything that prevents them from seeing themselves in a chair.

So here, according to them, are the 50 million euros that our minister allegedly gave for one night of concert, while hospitals supposedly have no medicines.

Did you hear that?

It is a lie with a tail — indeed with a scorpion’s tail — concocted to sting and poison the mind of anyone experiencing this chaos with confusion. “Here are the 50 million euros… just for one night of concert!” he says.

For thousands of years, the holy books have taught us that the slanderer is worse than the murderer. The Quran condemns slander so harshly because it does not destroy only one person; it also tears down the foundations of trust between people. The word is a trust, the word must not be turned into a curse, and the slanderer turns it into a curse, because he builds nothing, but lives by ruining what others build. He despises the truth and digs only to find the pit in which to hand down punishment without trial.

He works for discrediting, for destruction, for smearing, and for the moral annihilation of others.

Meanwhile, Kanye West’s concert is a global event and will be financed entirely by sponsors and ticket sales, if only people of this clownish sort had not filled social media pages with shrill calls for a boycott, to turn the concert into a protest, frightening Kanye West music lovers and in fact discouraging ticket sales for this magnificent concert.

So what is the truth?

The truth is, as always, simple and can be proven with documents.

From the beginning, we signed only a letter of readiness as hosts, in which we guaranteed, besides hospitality of course, security and logistical support as well, while making it clearly known that we were undertaking no financial commitment. No financial commitment!

But when you are forced, “in extremis,” to intervene as we actually did only last night, with 4 million euros, in order to prevent the cancellation of a much-anticipated concert and to avoid Albania’s humiliation, first and foremost before the tens of thousands of foreign ticket buyers, who are more numerous than the foreign fans who came to Tirana for the Conference League final?

The benefits from that international sporting event were extraordinary, and just as extraordinary will be the benefits from this international music event.

Even though, for the sake of the truth, we would have liked not to pay a single penny until the end, the amount we gave for an event — 4 and not 50 — organized entirely privately and which will bring the capital’s economy many times that amount, tens of thousands of foreign consumers, not to mention the value of globally promoting Albania’s name in one of the world’s largest cultural communities, is entirely reasonable. We could have given it from the start, if necessary, but we were forced to, and now look how the lie with the scorpion’s tail continues!

There was only a field of thorns there, where the organizers found the most suitable place, in the absence of a large-capacity stadium, to build the 60,000-spectator stadium. And it is no coincidence at all that this poison-filled slanderer is a loudmouth from the “Albania Becomes” party.

Albania becomes, through slander. Come on, men!

“Slander is an Opportunity.” Come on, to the opportunity!

Slander, slander, because something will stick. Of course something will stick.

Now look at the “greenery.”

“Who knows what will happen after this?”

“Who knows what will happen next” — what can you even say to this lout, though it is a good thing he did not say the forest was flattened to build a flamingo slaughterhouse behind Kanye West’s back.

And then they ask why people come out to protest…

No, no. I never ask why that mother of my friend comes out to protest when she has long been confronted by a doctor’s irresponsibility.

I never ask why that boy or that girl who sincerely love nature and fear that development may damage it come out to protest. That it may damage biodiversity.

I never ask why anyone who has a grievance, a concern, an injustice to oppose, or a hope to nourish comes out to protest.

I do not say it because I know those people are not united by a thirst for power. They are not united by the desire for a chair, by “I’ll die for it.” They are not united by hatred to overturn everything. They are united by concern.

And precisely because I respect their reasons, I cannot watch them be taken hostage by the crows of slander, by the ravens of manipulation, and by parties and little parties that have no project for Albania, only the insistence on bringing everything down. Through slander, through insults, through threats, through force and, where they can, even through violence, exploiting the insane speed of the algorithm.

Slanders have never built anything except walls of division and mistrust among people. And in this country, of course, you can find not one, not one hundred, but one thousand reasons to protest. That is normal in every country, it is normal in every country.

History has shown us that the more a society advances, the less it accepts problems that require solutions, and that is a sign of true freedom and of a living democracy.

The problem is not the exercise of the freedom to protest. Nor is it the democratic vitality of society through protest. The problem arises when protest is fed by slander, disinformation, and manipulation, and when it becomes a tool for dragging the country backward. Therefore, the problem is not the flamingos. The problem is the crows and the ravens!
