Rama resign, 35 days of revolt, the Diaspora “lands” in Tirana today

This Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 19:00, the 35th massive protest will be held, with citizens demanding the removal of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Today’s protest is nationwide, with the diaspora expected to be in Tirana in support of the 35-day revolt.

Convoys set off yesterday, while the police have declared that every Albanian citizen entering the territory in the coming days will be subjected to a thorough check.

This has been seen as an attempt to prevent the diaspora from being part of the protest in Tirana.

The gathering of protesters is scheduled to begin in Skanderbeg Square, after which the march will continue toward the Prime Minister’s Office, where the protesters will express their demands.

The protest’s main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Organizers have declared that the protests will continue until this demand is met, inviting citizens to take part en masse in what is described as the 34th consecutive protest.

“Your end has come,” is the message organizers have conveyed in their call for participation in the protest.
