Rama Presents “Besa” for Socialist Party Reform to Political Leaders: I Have Walked Through the Graveyards of Several Parties in Recent Days

This Thursday, Prime Minister Edi Rama convened a meeting at the Palace of Brigades with the Socialist Party’s political leaders and the chairs of Parliament’s committees. During the meeting, he will present the new annex to the “Besa” document, which concerns reflections on the movement along the “Flamingos” boulevard.

At the start of his remarks, Rama said that in recent days he had walked through the graveyards of parties that, despite having remained in power for a long time, ultimately lost it because they did not know how to listen.

Rama said that, alongside reflecting on the image presented by the Flamingos boulevard, he had also spent time among the buried histories of parties and movements that had won everything but, sooner or later, failed to sustain a steady succession of victories. According to him, every gravestone in those cemeteries bears the same message: no one lost power because they listened, but all of them lost the ability to listen because of power.
