Rama opens four universities, Shkodra left out / Boçi: Political revenge

In a public post, Democratic Party MP Luciano Boçi accused the Rama government of excluding Shkodra and the “Luigj Gurakuqi” University from the initiative to open four new universities.

Boçi described the decision as political revenge, accusing Rama of favoring areas and institutions that remain close to those in power.

Rama announces four new universities, while leaving Shkodra and “Luigj Gurakuqi” University out of the picture. This exclusion bears the stamp of political revenge against a city that has not submitted to him.

For Rama, even knowledge must pass the test of loyalty to those in power. Investments are turned into favors, while exclusion becomes punishment.

Shkodra, which has given Albania education, culture and free thought, does not need Rama’s permission to have a future, because it has always overcome history’s storms and challenges thanks to its civic spirit.

Public funds are not his property. The University of Shkodra is not hostage to the grudges and hallucinatory nocturnal paranoias of a prime minister whose time is over.

Shkodra will know how to answer this anti-intellectual pot-bellied man!
