This Tuesday, Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Durrës, where he presented the finalists of the International Competition for the New “Aleksandër Moisiu” University Campus. During his remarks, he described the project as a direct result of the demands raised by students during the 2018 protests.
Rama said the campus represents an outcome of that year’s student protest, stressing that their demands were heard attentively. According to him, everything that was unrelated to the future and to real possibilities was set aside, while, on the basis of the pact for the university, a process was launched that produced a series of positive innovations.

He added that this process has brought noticeable improvements to dormitory and university conditions, as well as greater support for higher education. Among other things, the prime minister stressed that the government is aware that this work must advance even further.
