Rama attacks PD lawmaker: A group of sheep thieves stormed the Jewish Museum construction site in Vlorë; Lesko Pijaniku’s gang has made this ritual a habit

In a social media post, Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to a protest at the construction site of the Jewish Museum in Vlorë, accusing PD lawmaker Bujar Leskaj and several other people of claiming that the museum was being destroyed.

Rama described them as “a group of sheep thieves” and accused Leskaj of claiming that the work at the site was leading to the destruction of the “Labëria” Museum, also known as the Ethnographic Museum.

“A group of sheep thieves, led by the drunken Lesko, stormed the construction site of the Jewish Museum of Vlorë today—a cornerstone of the historical memory of the city of Independence and its glory in protecting Jews during the Second World War—with the perverse and defamatory claim that supposedly the Labëria Museum, or otherwise the Ethnographic Museum, is being destroyed,” Rama wrote.

According to Rama, at his request, the Albanian-American Development Foundation allocated $200,000 to prepare the project for the restoration and transformation of the “Labëria” Museum.

“Lesko Pijaniku’s gang has made a ritual of these attacks on the sites of Vlorë’s epochal transformation, but the people of Vlorë should know that, at my request, the Albanian-American Development Foundation allocated USD 200,000 to prepare the project for the rebirth of the Labëria Museum, a completely run-down wreck that, alongside the Jewish Museum, will become another open gateway to the pride of patriotic and tourist Vlorë. And Lesko Pijaniku will run to the next construction sites, just as he runs every night after the goats and chickens that accompany the streams of raki down his insatiable throat,” the prime minister said in his response.
