Qorrolli: The opposition should not set conditions for the establishment of new institutions

Vigan Qorrolli, an elected MP from the Vetëvendosje Movement, spoke about the latest political developments in Kosovo, calling on the opposition to act constructively in the process of creating new institutions.

According to him, after the final result of the June 7 elections, it is not right for the opposition to come forward with conditions.

“If the opposition sets conditions, it is unfair. The Alliance has set conditions, and the LDK has done so as well through Vjosa Osmani. With 7 mandates, for example, the Alliance cannot set conditions for the formation of institutions. I hope that this time they will reflect,” Vigan Qorrolli said on Thursday.

He recalled that even in the previous legislature, when the country went to elections because no agreement was reached on the election of the president, VV had shown itself ready to cooperate.

“We gave the LDK a share last time as well by offering them the deputy prime minister’s post and ministerial positions, but they refused. In the previous legislature, we were in a position to form the institutions up until 23:55, but the opposition refused. We offered the opposition a ‘pick and take’ deal, showing ourselves to be extremely creative. The LDK has now made 3-4 addresses. I hope that by the certification of the results they will be united so that we can have one of their positions regarding the government and the president. Kosovo has no reason to lose more time, because we need institutions,” he stressed.

Qorrolli also said that the opposition camp, even after the close of the elections, still does not have a common position.

“It seems the opposition camp needs time to reflect because they are not united,” Vigal Qorrolli said among other things.
