QMK: 13 fires in open areas reported in Macedonia over the past 24 hours

The Crisis Management Center reported this morning that a total of 13 fires were recorded across the country over the past 24 hours. According to the data, none of them is active, one has been brought under control and 12 have been extinguished.

The fire near the villages of Belicë and Jasen affected low-growing and mixed forests. It is still burning, but is currently under control.

Firefighting teams also responded to fires in Bosilovë, Bogdanci, Novaci, Probishtip, Shtip, Aerodrom, Kumanovë, Dollnen, Veles and Demir Hisar.

The flames affected various areas, including low vegetation, dry grass, straw and shrubs, as well as a landfill and areas containing waste. In Demir Hisar, the fire broke out between the village of Mrenoga and the Monastery of St. Athanasius, where oak forest and dry grass were burned.
