Protests Against Rama Continue: Allegations of 20 Million Euros for 1 km of Road in Albania and Calls for Resignation

Dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to grow, and Albanians’ protests against him show no sign of stopping. In the square, the message from citizens is the same: the prime minister must go.

For 39 days, citizens have gathered each time with the same stance and with a demand they call non-negotiable: Rama’s resignation.

“The state intervenes with millions only to hide the international shame. The other scandals have still not become known outside the borders, because if they spread, the prime minister, the chief raven, would resign immediately. The news has not reached Brussels that 1 km of road in Albania costs 20 million euros, the same as a highway in Germany. If this absurd cost for roads that crack in the first rain were exposed, the prime minister would resign. When your fellow hostage-takers stab you in the back and end up in a cell, it is called an administrative process,” she said.
