Protesters change their demand to Rama: “Arrest Rama,” not resignation

The protest against the government is continuing with increasingly strong rhetoric. During the rally, activist Edison Lika declared that the protesters’ demand directed at Prime Minister Edi Rama would no longer be his resignation, but his arrest.

Lika said that, starting today, the only call the protesters would address to the prime minister would be: “Arrest Rama.”

“From today, we are telling Rama: The time for resignation is over. We will say only: Arrest Rama,” he declared.

According to the activist, Edi Rama will not end his political career through resignation, but will end it “in handcuffs.”

“He will not be lucky enough to end his political career with a resignation; he will end it in handcuffs,” Lika said.

The statement was made during the ongoing protests against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama, where participants have voiced various demands and accusations against the government.
