Professional soldiers’ union announces protest outside government building

The Independent Union of Professional Soldiers has criticized Defence Minister Vlado Misajllovski, accusing him of making unfulfilled promises, manipulating public opinion and delaying a solution to the status of professional soldiers who have turned 45.

To express its dissatisfaction with the situation in the Army, the union has announced a protest outside the government building on November 7 at 11:00 a.m.

According to a statement signed by union president Aleksandar Naskovski, Minister Misajllovski’s latest remarks about resolving the status of professional soldiers and raising salaries from January 1 amount to another promise that, they say, has gone unfulfilled for months.

“Today’s supposedly spontaneous statement by Defence Minister Vlado Misajllovski is a classic lie and manipulation of the public, professional soldiers and members of the Army,” the union’s statement said.
