Police raids in Bërnjarcë uncover drugs, weapons and ammunition

During two separate operations carried out in the village of Bërnjarcë, in the Skopje area, the Unit for Combating Illicit Trade at the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs arrested two people.

On September 15, at around 11:45 p.m., I.B. (38) from Skopje was taken into custody. During a search of his home, conducted on the basis of an order issued by the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje, police seized a pistol, 23 cartridges, 20 shotgun cartridges, a bag of gunpowder, three boxes of shot pellets, three boxes of materials for loading shotgun cartridges, a box of primers, as well as equipment for processing and loading cartridges.

Meanwhile, on September 16, 2026, at 12:20 a.m., police arrested D.C. (34) from Bërnjarcë. During a search of his home, carried out on the basis of an order issued by the Basic Court in Skopje, police found and confiscated as evidence marijuana, cannabis plant seeds and a digital scale with marijuana residue.

Police said that, after the documentation of the cases is completed, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the suspects.
