Police operation at Skopje venues, eight people detained

Eight people, including three minors, were detained after overnight inspections at several hospitality venues in Skopje.

The operation was carried out by the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs, in cooperation with inspectors from the State Market Inspectorate.

A total of 37 people were identified during the inspections. At two venues, it was found that activities were continuing after the permitted hours, while alcohol had been served to minors at another venue.

The authorities also identified people suspected of possessing narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.

“The Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs, in cooperation with inspectors from the State Market Inspectorate, carried out inspections at several hospitality venues in Skopje during the night. During the inspections, 37 people were identified, while eight people were detained, three of whom were minors. At two venues, working hours had been exceeded, while at one venue, alcohol had been served to minors. People in possession of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors were also identified,” the Ministry of Interior said.
