Oriola Marashi has raised concerns about sea pollution, sharing with her followers a personal experience that, according to her, she went through after a day at the beach.

Through an InstaStory post, the model published a photograph showing her swimsuit with black stains, which she claims were caused by the presence of oil in the water.

“Today I came out of the sea and my swimsuit turned out like this. This is not sand. This is OIL,” Oriola wrote, accompanying the post with the photo illustrating the situation.

The model stressed that water pollution poses a serious threat not only to the marine ecosystem, but also to the health of beachgoers, calling for the phenomenon not to be met with silence.

In her reaction, Marashi asked her followers to share their experiences if they had faced similar situations, as well as to demand more accountability from institutions for environmental protection.

“Has this happened to you too? It is important to speak up and demand accountability,” she concluded.

The model’s post has sparked reactions on social media, while concerns over the pollution of coastal waters are once again in the spotlight at the height of the tourist season, when thousands of vacationers frequent Albanian beaches.
