Petrov: The “12:05” platform has the verbal support of 90 percent of SDSM MPs

Andrej Petrov, a member of the SDSM leadership and part of the “12:05 Platform,” has explained the reasons behind the creation of this faction within the party. According to him, the initiative was formed as a result of dissatisfaction with the current way the party is being run.

In a statement to 4TV, Petrov said the platform has the verbal support of 90 percent of SDSM MPs who are part of the parliamentary group.

He explained that the MPs are in a delicate position, as they are part of a small parliamentary group, which is why members of the platform do not intend to put anyone in a position where they could face personal consequences. “Verbally, we have the support of 90% of SDSM MPs. However, these are MPs who are in a specific and delicate situation,” Petrov said.

A few days ago, MP Slavjanka Petrovska also said that the faction was created after demands for changes in policymaking went unheard. She said these issues had also been discussed with the current leader, Venko Filipce, but without reaching an understanding.
