Petrit Ndoci fails to return from furlough at Reç Prison, search launched to capture him

The General Directorate of Prisons has announced that a prisoner failed to return to Reç Prison in Shkodër after his furlough ended.

The prisoner in question is P.N., a standard-security inmate who had been granted leave in the village of Rukaj, in the Luf Administrative Unit, Shkodër County.

His furlough began on 14.08.2026 at 12:30 p.m. and was due to end on 21.08.2026 at 12:30 p.m. However, he did not report to the institution within the निर्धारित deadline.

After his absence was discovered, the information units at Reç Prison carried out the necessary checks. Communication with his family revealed that the prisoner had left the residence during the morning hours.

The case was immediately referred to the State Police structures and the Shkodër Local Police Directorate. Meanwhile, efforts to locate and apprehend him are continuing.

The General Directorate of Prisons, in coordination with the Oversight Agency for the Criminal Sentences Enforcement System and the State Police, is treating the situation as a priority and will inform the public of any further developments.
