Operation “The Wanted”/ Two Individuals Sought by SPAK and GJKKO for Murder, Drugs and Criminal Group Extradited from Romania and the United Kingdom (NAMES)

The State Police have completed new phases of the international operation “The Wanted,” in coordination with partner authorities in Spain, Romania and the United Kingdom. As a result, two individuals wanted by the Albanian justice authorities have been arrested and extradited to Albania.

Xhuljano Hoxha, 31, born in Berat, was extradited from the United Kingdom through cooperation between Interpol Manchester and Interpol Tirana.

Hoxha was wanted by SPAK, and the security measure of “remand in custody” was imposed on him in April 2024. He is suspected of participating in a structured criminal group involved in the cultivation and sale of narcotics. The case is linked to an operation carried out on November 10, 2022, in the village of Drenovicë, Berat.

Meanwhile, Aurel Hoxhallari, 49, born in Tirana, was arrested in Romania and will be extradited to Albania.

Hoxhallari had been wanted by GJKKO since April 2018 for the criminal offenses of “premeditated murder,” “structured criminal group” and “illegal possession of weapons and drugs.” According to the charges, on January 29, 2018, on “Kongresi i Manastirit” Street in Tirana, he, acting in collaboration with a Greek national and other individuals, shot and killed D. K. During searches of the group members’ homes, police seized 9 firearms and 130 kg of cannabis.
