Oil prices have fallen following the decision to release 100 million barrels from strategic reserves, Fatih Birol, director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), announced.

Birol said that a meeting with world leaders was held during the day, where it was announced that the market supply of 100 million barrels of oil would resume.
According to the head of the IEA, the impact of this decision has already been reflected in the markets, where prices have begun to decline. He hopes the measure will have a positive impact on the global economy and on Turkey.
His statements were made in Istanbul at a conference dedicated to financing the energy transition and Turkey’s path toward COP31, the United Nations conference on climate change.
