About 3,000 drones appeared in the sky over New York during a special rehearsal for a ceremony to be held in 2026 to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The coordinated drone flight created a light show over the city as part of preparations for the tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Footage of the rehearsal shows hundreds of lights moving in synchronization across the New York sky and forming various shapes.
The show is expected to be included in the program of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks, one of the worst tragedies in modern United States history, in which about 3,000 people lost their lives.
Through this modern and symbolic spectacle, the aim is to honor the victims and preserve the memory of 9/11 as New York prepares for the 25th anniversary of the event.
