New Heads Appointed at Several Prosecutor’s Offices in Macedonia

The Public Prosecutors’ Council has selected new heads for three basic prosecutor’s offices and has also decided on the appointment of a prosecutor in Kriva Pallanka.

Suzana Boshniakovska will lead the Prosecutor’s Office in Berovo, Darko Cvetanoski has been appointed head of the Prosecutor’s Office in Sveti Nikole, while Edmond Sherif will head the Prosecutor’s Office in Resen. At the same session, Zoran Markovski was selected as a basic public prosecutor at the Kriva Pallanka Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile, the Council decided that the call for applications for the new public prosecutor who will head the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption should be announced during August, in compliance with the legal deadlines before the current head’s term expires.

The number of public prosecutor positions for the next five-year period has also been approved. The new staffing plan provides for 261 positions, while 194 public prosecutors are currently serving.
