Netanyahu launches campaign with AI-generated video: “These are my enemies and they want my defeat

As Israel heads toward the October parliamentary elections, electoral activities are increasingly taking up space in the public sphere.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched his campaign with a direct message, focusing attention on his political opponents and on figures he sees as enemies or threats to Israel.

The message is conveyed through a video generated with artificial intelligence, featuring New York City Mayor Zohrab Mamdani, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

One of the scenes shows Mamdani calling Erdogan a “pro” and asking if he will attend the party planned after Netanyahu’s defeat in the elections.

Later, Khamenei appears lying in bed and wrapped in bandages from head to toe, while Mahmoud Abbas also appears later in the video.

The scenario imagines all four characters watching the news of Netanyahu’s victory on television. After the announcement, Mamdani cancels the party, Khamenei returns to the bunker, and Erdogan hangs up the phone.

The video closes with the political message: “Israel’s enemies want Netanyahu to fall. We must not let them win.”

This spot is part of Netanyahu’s strategy to present the electoral race not just as a showdown with political rivals, but also as a battle against actors he considers a danger to Israel.
