Police stepped up checks on Arbër Road this Saturday as part of measures taken for today’s national protest, which young people and other citizens from different parts of the country are expected to join.
Officers from the Dibër Local Police Directorate have been deployed near the entrance to Murriz Tunnel, where they are monitoring vehicles heading toward Tirana.

Officers have stopped several vehicles for checks on suspicion that they might be carrying people who could cause incidents during the protest.
However, according to information released so far, nothing suspicious has been found, and no individuals posing a security risk have been identified.
Meanwhile, citizens from Dibër County are traveling to the capital mainly in private vehicles to join the national protest.
