Nagavci: Sejdiu’s withdrawal is a loss for the presidential election process

Vetëvendosje MP Arbërie Nagavci has commented on Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu’s withdrawal from the presidential race, describing the development as a loss for the process.

According to her, the political situation is creating new obstacles and making it more difficult to reach an institutional agreement. Nagavci stressed that Kosovo needs responsibility, stability and the willingness to find solutions.

“Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu’s decision to withdraw from the race for President of the Republic is a loss for a process that should have promoted figures with integrity, professionalism and credibility.

Unfortunately, instead of creating opportunities for such individuals to put their knowledge and experience at the service of the state, a political climate is being built that discourages them. Efforts to steer the country easily toward new elections are causing it to move from one deadlock to another and are making it increasingly difficult to create the consensus the country needs.

Kosovo does not need any more obstacles. It needs responsibility, institutional stability and a willingness to find solutions.

I express my respect and gratitude to Prof. Sejdiu for his willingness to serve the Republic with the integrity and professionalism that characterize him,” Nagavci wrote.
