Arbërie Nagavci, head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, said that the debate held today in the Assembly should have been resolved back in 2015. According to her, greater foresight should have been shown at the time regarding the consequences of establishing the Specialist Chambers.

“We in LVV were against the establishment of the Specialist Chambers, and we remain opposed today,” Nagavci said.
She recalled that the law establishing the Specialist Chambers had been approved by the parliamentary majority at the time.
Nagavci stressed that mentioning this position was not intended to create divisions, but said that this fact could not be ignored. She described the reaction, which comes 11 years later, as overdue.
Nevertheless, she said that if the parties that voted in favor of establishing the Specialist Chambers in 2015 now seek to amend the law, the Vetëvendosje Movement will support the initiative.
