Nagavci: Justice may be delayed, but the pursuit of it must not stop after the arrests in Zubin-Potok

Arbërie Nagavci, a member of parliament from the Vetëvendosje Movement, has reacted to the detention of nine people suspected of war crimes in the Municipality of Zubin-Potok, as part of the case known as the “Group of Intellectuals”.

Nagavci described the arrests as a positive development and recalled that four other people had previously been arrested in connection with the case.

According to her, the operation was carried out following investigations and excavations in Kalludër and Jabukë in Zubin-Potok, where human remains believed to belong to at least 23 people were discovered.

She said that, so far, DNA analyses have confirmed the identities of three victims from the “Group of Intellectuals”, while the identification process has not yet been completed.

“Justice may be delayed, but the pursuit of it must not stop,” Nagavci wrote on Facebook, adding that investigations are continuing with the aim of fully clarifying the case and determining the individual responsibility of the suspects.
