Nagavci calls for the urgent election of Kosovo’s president

Vetëvendosje Movement MP Arbërie Nagavci has appealed for the process of electing the President of the Republic of Kosovo to be completed as soon as possible, describing it as an urgent need for the country.

In a post, she highlighted the importance of institutional stability, political responsibility and the functioning of institutions with a full mandate.

“Today, Kosovo needs a President. Our country needs institutional stability, political responsibility and institutions with a full mandate,” Nagavci wrote.

According to her, the election of the President is also linked to the need to defend the truth about the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war, an issue that requires coordinated engagement at several levels.

“At a time when defending the truth about the KLA war requires coordinated legal, political and diplomatic action, the Republic needs strong representation and functioning institutions,” her post said.

Nagavci called on institutions and MPs not to allow any further delay in this process.

“For this reason, we need to give the country a President today. An elected President would bring stability and institutional security to Kosovo. This decision can no longer be postponed,” she declared.

She added that responsibility for making this decision now lies with the institutions and MPs.

“This responsibility is before us today,” Nagavci concluded.
