Nagavci calls for an extraordinary session over the killing of Arlinda Zeka

Following the killing of Arlinda Zeka in Vitomirica, Peja, Arbërie Nagavci, head of the Vetëvendosje Movement’s parliamentary group, announced that a petition was being organized to call an extraordinary session of the Assembly of Kosovo.

The session aims to call for the establishment of a parliamentary investigative committee to examine institutional responsibility and investigate the actions or inaction of the institutions responsible.

Nagavci said the victim had sought help from the institutions three days before her killing, warning them that her life was in danger.

In a Facebook post, she called for justice and accountability, as well as an investigation into any institutional action or inaction that may have contributed to the tragedy.

She stressed that no woman should be killed after seeking protection from the institutions and called for the case to be investigated fully, without exception.
