Myslim Murrizi, a member of the Democratic Party’s National Council, has launched a barrage of strong accusations against chairman Sali Berisha and the party’s leadership structures on the eve of the council’s meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 15.
In a sharp public intervention, Murrizi demands clarity on the names of those seeking leadership posts and mercilessly attacks figures he describes as “political parasites” and lawmakers without popular support.

Through a direct message, he appeals to Berisha to reveal the candidates immediately, mocking the circumstances surrounding the process. “Announce the names, Doctor, before the session, because no one will ‘kill’ them, stay calm, only LOPA can ‘kill’ them, the train has already left the station,” he quips, referencing a previous meeting for the party presidency where, according to him, most council members did not know more than 10-15 of the 60 candidates presented.
He sarcastically dismisses calls for a party “revival” based on the young age profile of the membership. “Spare us, Doctor, this ‘novelty’ of average age, that the National Council has 30 or 35 percent under 30, as some kind of ‘achievement,’ because AGE is an indicator of ‘success’ only in SPORTS or in brothels, but in POLITICS it never counts,” he said.
He then launched an open attack on MPs and officials who secure mandates through closed lists or appointments without electoral competition in constituencies, blaming them for the failure in the last parliamentary elections of May 25, 2025.
“Why does the DP need to keep in its elite individuals who are unelected or people who fear the VOTE like the devil fears incense? This group is not in the opposition, but in the luxury of a hybrid power,” he emphasizes.
According to him, the National Council must hold an honest debate on the dire state of the DP and articulate a clear position on protests, demanding the dismantling of the 2008 electoral system, which Murrizi says has functioned as a “swamp for breeding political rats.”
“If we intend for RENEWAL not to turn into RE-CHEWING and from re-chewing to come citizen ‘vomiting,’ the DP must face reality with open eyes. The era of minions must end, otherwise we will all sink from the whims of a handful of eunuchs,” Myslim Murrizi concludes his cutting response.
