Mother Liza Joins the Protest and Calls for Rama’s Removal: He Forced Us Out of Our Homes in Winter, Real Men Face the People and Do Not Hide

Mother Liza, known as a symbol of the resistance of the residents of “5 Maji,” also joined today’s protest.

She said she had joined the gathering because she wants Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign as soon as possible, accusing him of forcibly removing citizens from their homes in the middle of winter.

The elderly woman, now active in public causes, also said that neither wages nor pensions have increased. In her remarks, she challenged Rama by saying that Albanians are not sheep, as she claims he has labeled them, but men.

“I decided to join because he must go as soon as possible, but he will not leave just because people say ‘Rama go away’; he needs to be driven out by force, just as he drove us out of our homes by force. They dragged me along the ground, 1,500 police officers surrounded my house, and they threw my children in prison.
