Model agent linked to Epstein found dead in Paris, name mentioned over 2,000 times in US files

Daniel Siad, a French intermediary in the modeling world who had for years been accused of facilitating meetings between young women in the industry and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead in his apartment in Colombes, an area on the outskirts of the French capital.

The confirmation of the event was given by Marie-Celine Loverisy, deputy prosecutor at the Nanterre Court, who added that a forensic examination has now been ordered to clarify the circumstances of the death.

Just a short time earlier, Siad spoke to the American network CNN, where he insisted that he was not aware that two of the women he personally introduced to Epstein would later sue him for sexual harassment.

According to his account, the American tycoon had assured him that after his 2008 conviction, he had paid his debt to society and such episodes would not happen again.

“I believed him. I thought he was a serious man in his work,” Siad stated during the interview.

Data released by the US Department of Justice reveals that Epstein transferred sums amounting to tens of thousands of dollars to the French agent. The materials also include correspondence in which Siad informed the financier about young women he had met, and in some cases sent him photographs of models or candidates for assistant positions.

One of the published exchanges shows that after Siad forwarded a photo of a woman, Epstein’s brief reply was: “Too old.”

Official documentation shows that references to Daniel Siad exceed 2,000 mentions in the Department of Justice’s investigative file on the Epstein case.

While Epstein’s links to the fashion world remain in the spotlight, criminal proceedings had also been opened in France against Siad, who was also facing sexual violence charges. A model had filed a rape complaint against him, claiming the crime occurred in 1990, when he was working in French territory. Siad had repeatedly denied all allegations.
