Mitrovica: V.M. charged with attempted aggravated murder and unauthorized possession of weapons

The Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica has filed an indictment against V.M., charging him with the criminal offenses of “attempted aggravated murder” and “unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons.”

The incident in question took place on November 1, 2025. According to the Prosecution’s allegations, V.M. is suspected of assisting other individuals in attacking the injured party, M.V.

The indictment states that V.M. had photographed M.V.’s vehicle near his residence and forwarded the photographs to A.F. Later, when M.V. set out for a location in the village of Kapuricë in Leposaviq to buy honey, V.M. allegedly informed A.F. of his movements.

The Prosecution alleges that, after M.V. arrived at that location, unidentified individuals wounded and kidnapped him, subsequently taking him to the territory of Serbia.

V.M. is also charged with unauthorized possession of weapons. During a search of his home in the village of Leshak, the authorities found and seized a double-barreled hunting shotgun, a barrel from a long gun, a hunting vest containing 28 cartridges, and 11 additional cartridges.

The Prosecution has asked the Basic Court in Mitrovica to find V.M. guilty and sentence him in accordance with the law.
