Missing for 48 hours, 58-year-old from Kuçova found dead deep inside a cave

A 58-year-old man was found dead today inside a cave in the village of Drizë in Kuçova. The news was confirmed by local authorities.

Family members had notified police that he had left home two days earlier and had not returned. They reported his disappearance immediately after seeing he wasn’t coming back.

According to relatives, the 58-year-old had been suffering from mental health disorders for several months, which prompted them to seek the help of the blue uniforms to find him as soon as possible.

Law enforcement focused their search near the Cave in Drizë, where local residents had last seen him entering. After an intensive operation, his body was located inside the cave. Police stated that there were no signs of violence on the victim, and preliminary suspicions point to death due to lack of oxygen in the enclosed space.

The victim has been identified as Gramoz Grymshi, a resident of the village of Drizë in the municipality of Kuçova. The lifeless body was transported to the Morgue of the Regional Hospital of Berat, where a forensic examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
