An Indian vessel sank near Yemeni waters after being struck by a missile. The news was announced by India’s Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in a post on the X platform.

Indian authorities said the Yemeni Coast Guard rescued all 14 sailors on board and transported them to the port of Mocha. Of the crew members, 13 are Indian nationals.
The Indian government condemned the attack, stressing that the target was an unprotected vessel.
India’s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, said that protecting Indian citizens remains a priority, while the authorities have taken steps to ensure the safety of sailors in the area.
“India strongly condemns this unprovoked attack on the sailing vessel, which was unprotected. I am pleased to confirm that the Yemeni Coast Guard has rescued all 14 sailors safe and sound and taken them to the port of Mocha,” Sonowal said.
The minister also announced that the Directorate General of Shipping had been instructed to cooperate with the relevant agencies to provide the rescued crew with the necessary assistance.
