Ministry of Health: Gostivar case should be investigated by institutions without political influence

The Ministry of Health has reacted following the criminal complaint filed by LSDM against Minister Sasho Klekovski, emphasizing that every person has the legal right to file a report when they believe there are grounds for such action.

The Ministry requests that all allegations be analyzed by the responsible institutions in a professional, comprehensive, and impartial manner.

The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office is already acting on the case in question. The Ministry of Health and the competent health institutions declare that they will provide full cooperation, submitting without delay any requested data, analysis, or document.

According to the Ministry, the healthcare system in Gostivar reacted in a timely manner, necessary care was provided to patients, and citizens were informed about the situation. The institution emphasizes that public health should not be used as part of ordinary political clashes.

The Ministry of Health assesses that LSDM’s attempt to treat the case as a partisan issue does not help clarify the circumstances. According to it, instead of political statements and press conferences, institutions should be given the space to complete the procedure without interference.

The Ministry says it will continue its work with transparency and responsibility, while the main objectives remain the functioning of the healthcare system, ensuring the health of citizens, and the full elucidation of the case based on evidence.
