Milaim Zeka criticizes Vlora Hyseni’s appointment as head of SHISH: Rama made a fatal mistake

Journalist Milaim Zeka, a guest on the program “NOW with Erla Mëhillin,” commented on the security measure imposed on former SHISH director Vlora Hyseni. During the discussion, he questioned the decision to appoint Hyseni to lead Albania’s intelligence service and raised suspicions about the motives that, according to him, prompted Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Zeka also spoke about Hyseni’s experience in Kosovo and her departure from AKI. According to the journalist, her departure was not merely professional, but was influenced by political developments involving Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani.

“The biggest mistake in the case of SHISH, from the very beginning, was Edi Rama’s, as he took a highly capable professional in her field. Vlora Hyseni had done an excellent job at AKI in Kosovo, but I believe she was dismissed for political reasons by Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani. Later, Rama took someone from AKI and placed her at the head of SHISH in Albania, which was absurd, since legally we are two states. For this reason, Edi Rama should not have appointed her to lead Albania’s intelligence service. I have had and continue to have doubts: why did he take this step? I believe his aim was to purge SHISH of people who had close ties to Sali Berisha and the Democratic Party,” Zeka said.
