Middle East Conflict / Netanyahu orders military forces: Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon must be completely destroyed

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the Israeli armed forces to completely destroy Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon during a visit to troops deployed in the area.

According to a statement published by his office, Netanyahu stressed that the target of the operations is all structures used by Hezbollah’s military wing to carry out attacks on northern Israel, including the network of underground tunnels.

“This is the order: let nothing remain standing. Carry it out,” Netanyahu said, according to the statement published on the X platform.

The Israeli prime minister also called on the military to intervene immediately as soon as they identify a threat, without waiting for further instructions from command.

Netanyahu ruled out the possibility of withdrawing Israeli forces from the areas they control in southern Lebanon, stressing that the military presence will continue until Hezbollah is fully disarmed and every threat to Israel’s security is eliminated.
