Mickoski urges students: Study abroad, but return to Macedonia

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski urged young students to take advantage of opportunities to study and gain experience abroad, while emphasizing that they should return and contribute to North Macedonia.

In his address to students during the first academic lecture at Goce Delchev University in Shtip, Mickoski pointed out that the real challenge remains commitment to one’s family and country. “Wherever you go, return home and let us fight together for our country,” he told them.

The prime minister also addressed the professors, inviting them to serve students not only by imparting knowledge but also as educators and role models. He also shared his own experience from his time abroad and said that he had always chosen to return.

Rector Dejan Mirakovski reminded the students that the university exists not only to secure a degree, but is also an environment where ideas are born and knowledge is acquired. Meanwhile, Ana Mihajllov, director of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility, encouraged students to use the Erasmus+ programme, pursue their studies abroad and gain international experience.
