North Macedonia’s Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, said he expected strong messages on the inclusion of the Western Balkans in the European Union, as well as important discussions and concrete results from the Berlin Process Summit, which is taking place today in Montenegro.
Before the meeting began, Mickoski said that North Macedonia had earned the right to become part of the EU long ago, but that negotiations had still not begun due to several artificial reasons. “I expect very strong messages today on the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union. This includes my country as well. North Macedonia’s file is quite complex,” he said.

The head of North Macedonia’s government said that in his speech he would highlight the cabinet’s commitment to the reforms required by the EU and to the European integration process. According to him, this has also been the government’s approach so far and will continue to be so in the future.
In his remarks, Mickoski also referred to various global developments, including the war in Ukraine, the conflict with Iran, difficulties in the financial markets and protests taking place across Europe./Telegrafi/
