Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said that the new legal solution on fair representation has been prepared in full harmony with the Constitution and that all positive recommendations from the Venice Commission have been taken into account.
According to him, the way this solution will be implemented will be determined through by-laws, while the executive will also establish a special body to oversee the implementation of the law.

Commenting on the objections to the abolition of the balancer, Mickoski said they have a political background. He underlined that the parties currently in opposition had previously assessed that the balancer had lost its function and that it should be replaced with a new model for fair representation.
