According to the data he presented, the number of employed people in the country rose from 691,000 to 708,000. Mickoski said the previous government had failed to create that many jobs over seven years.
“Two or three days ago, the State Statistical Office published figures showing that this government has created 17,000 new jobs over the past two years, from the third quarter of 2024 to the second quarter of 2026. The number of employed people rose from 691,000 to 708,000,” Mickoski said.
The prime minister predicted that the number could rise further with the construction of data centers and the development of related industries.
He stressed that the expansion of this sector could create opportunities for many young people who have left North Macedonia to return and build their lives in the country with their families.
Mickoski added that conditions in Western Europe have changed and are no longer the same as they were five or ten years ago. According to him, North Macedonia should take advantage of this situation to spur economic development.
