LSDM: Mickoski is lying again, this time also about the Electoral Code

LSDM says that Hristijan Mickoski’s claim that this party does not want the diaspora to take part in voting is false.

The party emphasizes that Mickoski, after forcibly abolishing the technical government and secretly attempting to impose an Electoral Code that, according to them, would pave the way for another election theft through the abuse of 200,000 votes, is now trying to present this as an initiative for the diaspora vote. According to LSDM, his claim that they do not want to enable fellow citizens living abroad to vote is also a clear lie.

As an argument, LSDM underlines that the diaspora is already voting under the existing model, while adding that the changes proposed by Mickoski are envisaged for 2029.

According to LSDM, Mickoski’s real aim is electoral manipulation and the misuse of 200,000 votes, because, as they say, he has lost the support of the citizens and is seeking to replace the votes lost in Macedonia through abuse of “electronic voting” from abroad. They also add that everyone knows the way VMRO-DPMNE stole the elections.

LSDM further stresses that every citizen who votes in the homeland is subject to a strict procedure, which includes verification, a personal document, signing the voter list, and identification with fingerprints. By contrast, according to them, Mickoski wants there to be no rules and no kind of oversight for diaspora voting. For this reason, LSDM believes that yet another one of his lies has been exposed.

In the end, LSDM also rejects Mickoski’s statement that he did not issue threats, saying that he is lying again and that citizens themselves heard how, from the podium of the Parliament of Macedonia, he threatened imprisonment and political persecution against all political dissidents.
