LSDM: Mickoski is building another satellite entity after the breakup of ZNAM

LSDM claims that Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has entered the phase of creating a new satellite political entity, arguing that ZNAM, in its view, has already broken apart and no longer functions as an operational political structure.

In its reaction, the opposition party says that only Goran Minchev and Maksim Dimitrievski remain in ZNAM and that, according to it, they are currently competing for positions. LSDM adds that once this clash is over, and given the possibility that they may no longer remain in the Government either, Mickoski will be left without the mechanism that, according to the party, he used to weaken the opposition bloc. For this reason, it continues, he has already begun building a new political “association.”

According to LSDM, this move is a continuation of the same approach that VMRO-DPMNE has used before, through the creation of artificial political entities aimed at weakening the opposition and securing additional votes in the upcoming elections.

The opposition party also believes that declining support for VMRO-DPMNE and for Prime Minister Mickoski is pushing the latter to consider early parliamentary elections.

“VMRO-DPMNE’s major drop of 150,000 votes, Mickoski’s ruined rating due to unfulfilled promises and the economic collapse, as well as the fact that citizens realized they were deceived in the last elections, are forcing him to think about early elections. Mickoski knows that LSDM has grown stronger and, as part of the broad civic Front for Truth and Justice, poses a serious threat to his rule,” the party stressed.

According to LSDM, the prime minister needs a new political satellite to recreate the scenario of the last elections. In its reaction, the party describes this as a typical example of political engineering in its worst form. It adds that, instead of focusing on citizens’ real problems, Mickoski continues to set up parallel structures which, according to it, have the sole mission of preserving power through manipulation and the fragmentation of the vote. LSDM stresses that he is not creating a new political force, but a new mechanism for controlling the electoral process and fragmenting the opposition vote, just as, according to it, he also did with ZNAM. “The same lie will not pass twice,” LSDM said in its reaction.
