LSDM: After polluted water in Gostivar, Krushevë and Pllasnicë, the Vardar is now covered in synthetic foam

The appearance of white foam flowing from the Lepenec into the Vardar River is evidence of a complete institutional failure, according to accusations by the LSDM. The party stresses that this situation follows the pollution of drinking water in several areas of the country.

The Social Democrats underline that the presence of the foam, which appears synthetic, constitutes concrete proof of contamination of the aquatic environment.

“First we had polluted water in Gostivar, Valandovo, Leshkë, Krushevë and Pllasnicë. Even in hospital facilities the water was not safe for consumption. Now a white foaming mass is flowing along the Lepenec in Skopje. Its appearance suggests it is a synthetic substance. An undeniable fact of pollution that pours unimpeded into the river, right at the point where the Lepenec joins the Vardar. This situation can no longer be described simply as an isolated incident. We are dealing with a deep systemic collapse of institutions, which operate under the leadership of Hristijan Mickoski. While they are busy with pool inaugurations, minister reshuffles and talk of ‘disinformation’, the riverbeds are filling with foam and citizens are banned from drinking tap water,” expressed the LSDM’s stance.
