LDK to hold meeting tomorrow with its Presidency and Parliamentary Group

The Democratic League of Kosovo will meet tomorrow following the agreement reached between its leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, and the acting prime minister and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, for Bekim Sejdiu to be the joint candidate for President of the country.

The meetings will take place in two stages. First, Abdixhiku will convene the LDK Presidency, after which he will hold a meeting with the Parliamentary Group.

The LDK leader said today that cooperation with LVV on this matter constitutes “good and fruitful work” in the country’s interest, confirming the joint support for Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy for President.

Abdixhiku called on the parties to continue the procedures “without delay”, requesting the constitution of the Assembly, the formation of the new government and the election of Bekim Sejdiu as President.

“Therefore, without delay, let us constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, let the government of Kosovo be elected, and let us elect the next president of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu,” he declared at the joint press conference with Albin Kurti, which was also attended by Bekim Sejdiu.
