Lamallari Warns of Fines for Blocking Traffic: Violations Will Be Detected by Drones and Smart Cameras

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari has publicly called on drivers to comply with traffic regulations. He warned of tough penalties for anyone whose actions obstruct movement and cause traffic congestion.

Lamallari described it as intolerable that the irresponsible behavior of a few individuals should cause delays and consequences for other road users.

The minister stressed that others should not be left stuck in traffic because of someone’s whims. Addressing those who consider themselves privileged and think they can do whatever they want on the road, he warned that they would be monitored by drone and that the nearest patrol would be waiting to issue them the appropriate fine.
