Kurti After Talks With LDK: Specific Names Discussed for the First Time

Vetëvendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti said after the meeting with LDK that the parties had held an open, serious and sincere discussion, adding that talks on the country’s president would continue.

He said that, in addition to the principles and criteria previously agreed upon, specific names were mentioned at the negotiating table for the first time.

Kurti explained that the identities of those discussed would not be disclosed, as the parties must respect the confidentiality of the negotiating process.

“The discussion was open, sincere and serious. We will continue the talks, as mutual trust has increased, and for the first time we also discussed specific names. These are not people whom we asked beforehand whether they would want to be president, because we must first reach an agreement among ourselves,” Albin Kurti said.

According to him, the level of mutual trust between the parties has increased, and the process will therefore continue with the aim of reaching an agreement on Kosovo’s new president.
