KPC decides to publish interviews with candidates for State Chief Prosecutor

At the extraordinary meeting held on Wednesday, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) decided that the interviews of candidates for the position of State Chief Prosecutor will be broadcast.

After the interviews were completed the same day, the Evaluation Panel made the results public, with the candidates ranked as follows based on the scoring: Zejnullah Gashi with 91.6 points, Atdhe Dema with 89.3 points, Naim Abazi with 89 points, Rafet Halimi with 87 points and Shqipdon Fazliu with 86.5 points, “Betimi për Drejtësi” reports.

Member Milot Krasniqi stated that, in order to make the process more transparent, it was decided that the video interviews will be published on the platforms of the prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo.

On the other hand, chair Arian Gashi said that the previous process had established a standard for interviews to be published in real time and that this standard should have been respected.

“For your information, they were not broadcast immediately, but several days after the previous process,” Gashi said.

Later, the proposal for the video interviews to be published today was approved with six votes in favor and one against.
