Public trust in the judiciary and the state system as a whole has fallen to its lowest level in history, which is why radical measures are needed, Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski said.

He said that responsibility must be determined individually and that isolated cases should not be used to create a general perception of the entire judicial system.
According to Kostadinovski, the fact that one judge is corrupt cannot be taken as evidence that all judges act in the same way.
As one measure to restore trust, he mentioned opening the Constitutional Court to the public so that citizens can directly follow the hearings and the legal arguments underpinning its decisions.
Kostadinovski made the remarks during an international conference on trust in constitutional courts, held in Ohrid.
