Kosovo signs agreement for KSF participation in international mission in Gaza

The Kosovo Security Force will participate in the International Stabilization Force in Gaza. The agreement on its deployment was signed during an official visit to Kosovo by ISF Commander Major General Jasper Jeffers, who signed the document together with KSF Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari. Acting Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci and a representative of the Board of Peace were also present at the ceremony.

Major General Jeffers welcomed Kosovo’s decision and its readiness to contribute to the international mission. He highlighted the significance of the KSF’s participation in efforts to establish peace, security and stability.

In his remarks, Lieutenant General Jashari said that participation in international security missions is in line with Pristina’s vision of making a tangible contribution to strengthening peace and security globally.

The KSF described the signing of the agreement as an important development in expanding Kosovo’s role in international efforts to promote peace, security and stability. According to the KSF, the aim is to steadily increase its contribution to international security, with the strategic objective of transforming Kosovo from an “importer of security” into an “exporter of security.”

Albania will also be part of the international stabilization mission in Gaza. The initial phase is expected to involve the deployment of staff officers, who will join the force’s command structure. A decision on deploying additional troops will be made later, depending on the situation on the ground and operational assessments.
