Kosovo Police announces measures for KLA veterans’ protest

The protest by the Organization of KLA War Veterans, scheduled for today at 12:00 in Pristina’s squares, will take place under measures prepared by the Kosovo Police.

The Kosovo Police said its efforts would focus on maintaining public order and peace, as well as ensuring the safety of participants. The police institution stressed that it respects citizens’ right to protest peacefully and democratically, in accordance with the law.

To coordinate actions and ensure the smooth running of the gathering, police officials met with representatives of the Organization of War Veterans.

The police asked protesters to comply with the law and officials’ instructions, and to exercise care and restraint during the gathering. Participants were also advised not to throw objects or hard items and not to wear masks.

The movement of protesters toward the capital’s squares may lead to temporary traffic restrictions or interruptions on several roads. If necessary, police traffic units will direct traffic along alternative routes.
